CollegeBand Mervs Into New Territory

BEVERLY HILLS, California, February 7th, 2017 - CollegeBand® (www.collegeband.com), the world’s first archival record label to release decades of previously unavailable music created on scores of college campuses, has just announced a partnership with Stanford University’s very own Merv Spiegel and the Penguins.

“Merv is more than a legacy band” said CollegeBand CTO Geoff Abbott. “They're an inspiration to every young person that wants to get into, and out of, music.” Mark Crimmins, the band’s guitarist, added “We're psyched and grateful to see these songs get exposure after all this time having been heard only by party guests who'd stayed longer than they might, in retrospect, have preferred.”

Founded in 2008, CollegeBand enables users to search and preview merchandise, art, and musical works by bands like Merv Spiegel and the Penguins. Each band’s affiliated school is gifted 5% of earnings, with the remainder split 50/50 between CollegeBand and the artist.
